We know students tend to get sick a lot during this time of year which can take a toll on their attendance in school. While there’s not much we can do about the weather, there are some simple things every parent can do to help keep absences to a minimum, such as making the extra effort to keep your children healthy by feeding them healthy food, ensuring they get adequate rest and sleep, encouraging them to wash their hands, or dressing them warmly for the cold weather.
Please know that if the weather is bad, it still is important to find a way to get your child to school on time. Make sure that you consider the weather and traffic when you leave your home to drop off your child at school. Please take extra care of yourselves and your children at this time of the year, as long as your child is healthy, please encourage showing up to class. If your family needs support, please reach out to your child’s school.
Thank you for all that you do!
